hello everybody.
I'm a french director and i wanted to know how was the musicvideo market in the US.
I was in LA last week, for a feature film thing and didn't had the time to meet people from the musicvideo industry.
How do you succeed as a music video director in the US ?.
Does the director must bring the ideas for the videoclip or the artist ask for it ?
Is there a lot of director on the market ?
What are the average prices for a music video ?

Hi Julien! Great questions! The lack of opportunities to meet people in the music video industry specifically is one of the reasons this site/show came about. I'll try and get back to your questions this week!

What's up!!! I need big time help!!! I'm on my way to film school and I would like to focus on directing music videos. I may be attending the Art Institute of Los Angeles California in March its located in Santa Monica. Does anyone know anything about this school? Please help a brotha out!!!

Hi Christopher! I featured your question on the main page to see if you get any responses from those who may know about the school, but I have also heard that the Musician's Institute in Hollywood has a great music video program. One of our members, Walter Bernard is a graduate of there and did a video that won our first contest ever.
