About Metafiler: "MetaFilter's name derives from the idea that weblogs "filter" the "best of the web", and MetaFilter posts (guidelines) would be the best of the best. Posters are presumed responsible for selecting only the most interesting or novel websites to link, and users' reputations are largely determined by overall posting quality. Half-baked posts, self-promotion, open-ended questions, and other fare common on other community sites and internet forums are strongly discouraged at MetaFilter, though such things do sometimes make it through. The post must contain a link, and the site linked must be of high quality."

About Buzztracker:
Thank you for checking out our Beta launch of BuzzTracker! We are proud to be launching our new design which we hope makes the site more readable and user friendly. As you may notice we also have a new bee, which after much debate, is friendlier though he may have put on a few pounds. Our goal has been to launch a news site that leverages the power of the “head of the long tail” of the blogosphere to automatically generate news pages for a multitude of topics, both broad and narrow. We are currently tracking more than 1,000 different topics and 90,000 blogs. In the next month, we will be launching a create-a-topic feature to allow you to create and manage pages that are of the most interest to you. We will also be launching many new features in the coming months. Stay tuned! On each page of BuzzTracker, you’ll see five content elements. The main content element is called Most Blogged — this analyzes the top blogs to determine the most blogged about story for that particular topic. This element is a great proxy for the “wisdom of the crowds” in terms of what is important for that topic. After the Most Blogged section we feature the Latest News, relevant stories for the topic sorted by recency. We have a search box which allows you to search throughout BuzzTracker to find items that may be of interest; both topic areas and individual posts and articles. Finally, we’ve integrated with both Flickr and YouTube to provide recent pictures and videos that match the topic in question. We recently sold BuzzTracker to Yahoo! You can read about our announcement here and Yahoo!'s announcement here Thanks! And we hope you will become a regular visitor to the site to stay current on All the News the Buzz Approves.

● Rob Pongi was recently included as a celebrity caricature by the world-famous weblog Google Blogoscoped (Discovered 08-05-07):
Google Blogoscoped covers Google and the tech world, more or less daily since 2003......Google Blogoscoped has become a true community effort over time through the participation of many, many people, including Tony Ruscoe (co-editor), Ionut Alex. Chitu, Colin Colehour, /pd, Mambo, Orli Yakuel, Manoj Nahar, Sohil, David Hetfield...
The blog and the forum cover new Google product releases, contain tutorials and tips, information on Google censorship methods, and 20% random weirdness (the blog also spawned a book). Google is the focus here because the company and its tools have a growing impact on people's life – for better or worse. The Google search engine serves as a pair of eyes in a virtual world, and I think we'd all like a clear view.
This blog is featured in charts such as the Technorati Top 100, is a Google News source, and is also available in Chinese. Mark Draughn of Windypundit.com once called it "One of the most interesting technical sites on the web," and Vittorio Del Percio from Lugano, Switzerland, said it's "... the first source of info I check daily in the morning when I arrive at my desk in the office."
