DowntownTokyo Everybody just called him "crazy" and "weird" years ago, but now Mr. Rob Pongi has achieved international stardom and officially recognized celebrity status as well. Iijima's one of Japan's more fascinating personalities. Having gotten her start doing adult films and showing her ass on TV, she was successfully able to change her image and transition to respectable variety-show "talento." These days when you catch her on camera, it's hard to imagine her appearing less than fully dressed. She also penned "Platonic Sex," a "fictional" account of a young girl escaping her abusive family to wind up hostessing and eventually being seduced into making pornographic films. "The Genius Kids #8" video from North Korea features some more of the extremely talented group of North Korean children known as "The Genius Kids" in a short performance along with an expert analysis as seen on North Korean and Japanese TV. Used by legal permission. This video is somewhat "shocking", however, in this episode, we finally learn what "The Genius Kids" really signify and how they are so terribly used by Kim Jong Il to brainwash North Korean children on North Korean Television.

Ryan, that looks like a cable access TV show, and fairly typical of the genre, I’m afraid. I’m also sure it didn’t have wide distribution. Otherwise, point well taken.

● Memoirs of a Geisha / Sayuri - Igirisu gin (2006-03-17) - So someone asked me if I'd seen "Memoirs of a Geisha" (Or "Sayuri" here in Japan). "A movie about Japan, filmed entirely in America, written by an American, starring Chinese actresses speaking English. No I haven't." Geisha are pretty thin on the ground these days and the chance of seeing one perform is pretty slim, and costly. One glance at the trailer for "Sayuri" and you know its a piece of tosh. Pop video dance routines are not exactly what geisha are about, its about grace. In fact I stumbled across some very rare live footage of geisha's performing their craft on Youtube today.
