●FLASH NEWS: A solo travel video that I filmed and edited a few years ago in Kyoto entitled "The Golden Pavilion Video" is now a Top Ten Feature on WeShow Brazil:
WeShow (Edição Brasil) - Vídeo: O Pavilhão Dourado de Kyoto (Notified July 22, 2007)
I was suddenly notified of this very dubious honor earlier last night. Below is part of the official email I received from the WeShow.com folks who selected my video:
"WeShow is honored to announce that this video has been selected among millions on the internet to be ONE OF THE TEN BEST videos of the month in Brazil. Check it out this week on the WeShow Awards BR Edition (the biggest worldwide online video award), shown on channel Viagens & Destinos>Outros Destinos>Ásia, to watch your video and other competing videos – and vote on your favorites. Our congratulations and good luck!"

Also, I must add that this is, indeed, one of the most significant levels of official recognition that I have received to date. And, I have received more than a few notable commendations from various international organizations in the past few years. And I realize that this particular feature broadcast may not seem like very much for some of you, but this really means a lot to me in many ways.
You see, from the very beginning, after leaving the Japanese TV industry back in the summer of 2000, one of my biggest motivations and personal goals was to create a special kind of entertainment that would not only involve the production of this wild and colorful form of aesthetic video and off-beat humor, but also, I was very motivated to promote cross-cultural awareness and insight on Asia and Asian culture of all kinds as well as entertain as a wacky and caricature clown character through web video production and internet broadcasts. And, of course, some of the segments that I previously produced were merely just fun and games - but not all of them, and, certainly, not this one. So, I am very tremendously honored by this wonderful acknowledgment and, of course, very, very happy to have achieved at least some level of one of my original objectives and motivations in working so very hard at this labor of love for all these years!
Stay tuned for more! <*@v@*>
